Burnley Youth Theatre's Woodland Needs YOU!

Burnley Youth Theatre

Burnley Youth Theatre has been providing quality creative activities for children, young people and families from Burnley and East Lancashire for over 50 years. Last year over 9,000 young people benefitted from our work. You can help us do more...

We have a purpose built venue set in woodland in the Bank Hall area next to Queen's Park. We use the 'Storyteller's Wood' area behind the theatre for storytelling sessions. We developed this area approximately 3 years ago but it needs some love and attention. We have some funding from the Marsden Building Society and the Skelton Charity but we need some help to make the area safer for young children to play in.

We are looking for community-minded volunteers to help us with:

-Initial remedial work to clear debris around the path areas.

-Clearing vegetation to enlarge the area available.

-Plant and maintain suitable shrubbery to protect the areas around the paths from further debris.

-Ongoing garden maintenance.

- And last but not least... provide Inspiration to help us develop other areas of our grounds so that more people benefit from Burnley Youth Theatre

We hope to engage one group to assist us and our contractor with the initial groundworks and a group to help us on an ongoing basis to maintain and develop our grounds as a community asset. If you work for a local construction or landscaping business or have relevant professional skills we'd be especially interested to hear from you.

If this sounds like something you can help us with, please get in touch at [email protected]
