West End (Burnley) CIO (part of CAN Burnley SW)
We're looking for support in accessing grants to contribute towards project activities that help deliver on our aims & objectives as a charity serving a deprived community. We also need help in covering core running costs of our charity & in contributing towards running our centre.
We're a neighbourhood based charity that delivers a range of services to children, young people & families in a community centre that we took over in an asset transfer in 2020.
It would ideally be someone who already has experience in preparing funding bids or alternatively has transferable skills that can be used to develop the capacity to undertake this role. The volunteer will receive mentoring/other practical support from experienced bid writers within the organisation & will ideally work alongside various groups in our centre to identify & access suitable sources of project funding.
